Life Motto: “Mark 9:23. Everything can be done from he who believes.”

Can you talk to me about specific instances that influenced you to diverge from the route that you were on? How did these instances lead you to your current situation?

  • “I guess I could move along say, high school, sports were okay but I was more happy playing my saxophone and having a lot more friends in music and bands, I think it made a  mark on me based on who I was around. All of those kinda piled me to pursue music a little more. When I got to college I actually I walked into baseball at Wright State, but I stepped into DJing and still continue music realm and it seems like its been for me since.”

What is your definition of the grey area? Would you say you are in it currently?

  • “For me personally, I can agree with your statement of the grey area. I guess to an extent I’m in it, there’s a continuation of success, I’ve watch, Pharrell Williams and one of his main points is taking the path to get to the same direction you are going to, not everyone is going to have the same journey, you are never going to have the same journey as someone else so why would you take the same steps as someone else to get to where they are at.”
  • “For me, I would define it as the area of unknown or disconcerting futures, most part, just that spot where you are uncertain about life or things that might be good for you. Then life takes you to a certain path, the universe, the relationship or however you want to view it. It takes you to a certain path, you get led on your journey but you just have to go based on faith, something I always went by.”

Can you talk to me about your emotions/struggles in this area?

  • “Within the music and the career work side of it. more of a ‘when is this gonna happen’, I’m waiting for too long, I’m doing all of this quality stuff, just the waiting game. It is one of those fear emotions, you never know if it’s gonna work out but you are pointing your best foot forward no matter what. So, I always have a thought of ‘no regrets, no matter what I do’.”

Post-graduation, what were your feelings and thoughts?

  • “I was glad to be done. I never walked across the stage as a graduating senior because, in my mind, it was more of an I didn’t need a graduation ceremony, so know the fact that I was done with my classes. I was just trying to figure out what was next. I didn’t feel that college really…..didn’t really help me to understand where I wanted to be next, even with internships and co-ops. It never gave me a true indication of my full strengths, gave me a sense of my workable strengths, never gave me a sense of my individuality strengths.”
