Life Motto: “Psalms 23, It basically says that you are going to go through the trenches but God got you. Don’t worry about people who misused you, said stuff about you, and put you through. In the end, it’s all gonna be good.”
What is your definition of the grey area? Would you say you are in it currently?
- “My definition of the grey area, it is when you know what you want to do, but you don’t know how to get there. you try your hardest and go through different avenues to get from point A to point B and the grey area can take you from point A to C to D to E and then back to E. Sometimes, it is not always a straight line. I am currently in it.”
Can you talk to me about your emotions/struggles in this area?
- “Worthlessness. When you see your life in a certain way and you don’t get it, its kinda like a slap in the face. But that’s okay, that’s how you live and that’s how you learn, that’s how you grow but nobody wants to go through that. You feel like you are worthless and feel like you let your family down cause you feel like your parents worked so hard to get you to this point and can’t even perform when it needs to be asked of you. Then again, I think failure is a good thing because you grow by failure. You can grow by success, but your true growth comes by failure. That’s what makes you who you are.”
Was it worth the debt?
- “Yea it was worth it. I am finally in medical school…now the amount of debt, NO! That’s a hell no.”
How would you define college?
- “Its a money making scheme. Like real talk. Idk when it stopped being a place where you can learn and enhance your intelligence to be one of the most expensive things you have to pay for. You might not even use that particular degree for where you want to go in life, it costs money just to sit down. Like real talk, that’s just how it is. Like the number of people that become professors, how did you even get this job sir, like what did they say okay too? I’m paying for you to teach me and you not even teaching me.”
