Life Motto: “Pray everyday for peace, sanity & serenity. Be your own person.”

What is your definition of the grey area?

  • “An early mid-life crisis. You wake up one day and say “this is not the life that I see for myself “, and you feel disappointed in who you are. You are at point where you either have to do all of these little jobs to make ends meet. Or you want to go back to school but cannot afford to go back to school because you do not want to get in any more debt, making you feel discouraged. You sit back and think how your parents worked so hard for you to have the resources to be successful and yet you feel shorthanded at times.”

Before attending college, how did you view it?

  • “A stepping stone to being successful. “

How has your perspective of college shaped from childhood into your adolescence?

  • ” I thought it was pretty much fun and games. You attend college, get a degree, land a good job, get a good car, & buy a good house. I thought that was how it works .”

How were you paying for college? While paying, did you think it was worth the cost?

  • “Thousands of dollars out of pockets, scholarships, & loans. When it came to student loans, hell no I did not think it was worth it. Although I was mad I was spending so much money out of pocket, I know I will make it back because I will have a degree that will earn me a career that is profitable.”

Post graduation, is college worth the debt?

  • “Yes, to a certain extent because I graduated with a profitable degree form a university who’s name goes a long way. But at the same time no because I am in a situation where I am still searching for a good paying job to pay off the debt.”

Post graduation, what is your view of college?

  • “College is a place that makes and breaks you, while forcing you to grow up. You will grow through life instances that will teach you your self-worth, value of money and etc. Although I believe college is needed, you can also be successful without it, if you have the right tools & guidance.”

Post graduation, do you have any advice you would like to share?

  • ” You are on your own journey. Do not compare yourself to everybody because everybody’s story is different.”
